Full time jiujitsu coach based in the Netherlands. I have dedicated my life and work to Martial Arts and now run and own my gym; Energia Martial Arts. In 2009 I started martial arts with Capoeira. Later, in 2013, I added grappling and from there got into Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. In 2015 I opened my own Capoeira school and, because of my background as a teacher, I quickly expended from there. 2017/2018 was the moment I was asked to teach weekly no-gi classes at a striking gym. In 2018 I also started teaching BJJ in 3 different cities. 2019 was when I officially branded my team 'Energia Martial Arts'. With over 200 students now, and in 5 different cities, the team thrives. As head-coach I teach full-time at two of our gyms, oversee the other ones, teach seminars (both domestic and abroad), run the clothing company 'Energia Fightwear' and spread Jiu-Jitsu through social media. Through Instagram and our Youtube channel we reach many more people outside of the Netherlands. I can also say that I was the very first Dutch Jiujitsu instructor ever on BJJ Fanatics with several instructional dvd's now at their platform. My goal is to grow Jiu-Jitsu in the Netherlands. Not only for our team, but also for all the others that share that spirit. We provide gear and gi's for several gyms in the Netherlands and try to run the Dutch BJJ Federation. For our gym we hope to build a safe place to provide the beauty of martial arts to everyone eager to learn.
