I grew up loving professional wrestling. I loved submissions! This led me to being interested in folk style wrestling. I wrestled in junior high but lost interest in wrestling by the time I got to high school. In the years that followed I grappled with friends on trampolines, in living rooms and backyards. I guess that rekindled a fire to test myself and learn some new mat tricks. I was diagnosed with late onset type 1 diabetes around 2005. By the time 2008 came around I needed an outlet for my love of grappling. I also needed to take better care of myself. I found a jiu-Jitsu school near me, The Greenville Academy Of MMA in Greenville, NC. I have been hooked ever since. I love being on the mats. The only thing more important to me is god and my family. Over the years I have competed but itβs never been my focus. I have not done any big tournaments. I worry about my repaired knee and my blood sugar issues. I have to work and feed my family. No time for Injuries and surgeries. I love rolling and passing information to my training partners. I currently train at East Carolina Brazilian jiu-jitsu in Winterville, North Carolina. My Professor Heath Chapman is a third degree black belt under Professor Robson Moura. I teach on an as needed basis and I really enjoy it. Iβm happy to answer any questions about my jiu- Jitsu lineage. Hope to see you all on the mats one day!
