I got started late in traditional go-to-a-dojo Jiu-jitsu and as a supplement to the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program. I was a Special Amphibious Reconnaissance Corpsman. In short, I worked as a team member, team leader for Marine Special Operations teams and my specialty inside of those elements was Special Operations Medicine to include everything and in any environment where a Marine Reconnaissance and Raider team/s may operate. We tinkered with MCMAP on Friday mornings. I believe that I am my own best advocate and teacher so I learn through study and teaching. I use subject matter experts to help get my alignment right, and then I go back for course correction. My favorite SME's are Ryron and Rener Gracie. I use their curriculum almost exclusively. I supplement my training by going to a BJJ gym and grappling.
